Questions & Answers

  1. What is your role in the company? Tell us a little about your key responsibilities.

As the founder & CEO of IT Crowdsource, I have to make decisions on a daily basis, ensure that the company's strategic goals are met, and communicate tasks with the rest of our team. My responsibilities range from A to Z.

  2. How many freelancers do you use, where are they located and what sort of work do they do for your company?

Most of our freelancers are from the Netherlands since they run projects in the
Netherlands as well. Before the pandemic, the freelancers used to go on location, which
is why they are mostly Dutch workers. The amount is hard to estimate (around 100 that
they work with actively and more that they hire on occasion). We are also growing and
looking to onboard more freelancers. We want to mediate freelancers for customer
projects. At first we used to run the project ourselves, and work with a smaller pool of
freelancers who have good skills. Now we want to mediate and expand that line of
    business and increase volume.

  3. What specific problems were you looking to solve when you decided to look for a management system for your contractors?

We used to use our own self built freelancer management platform to manage the pool,
keep track of the freelancers, skills, availability and past experiences but that was very
labor intensive. We always want to find the right person for the job. We want to know the
skills of our freelancers. We want to know what their experience is, what projects they
worked on. It was too much work for us which is why we decided to use TalentDesk.

  4. What would you say was the biggest pain-point or challenge you were facing?

Not having an accessible, searchable database of your talent.

  5. What systems or processes were you using to manage, pay and organize your talent before you switched to a Freelancer Management System?

We were using our own system that we built but that was too labor intensive and time
    consuming.

  6. What is the biggest benefit that you have seen since using TalentDesk.io?

Time saving, cost saving and the ease of use with an easy UI. TalentDesk is self-explanatory for new users and easy to get up and running.

  7. How would you approximately quantify the benefits below from our platform:

It is hard to give numbers right now. Finding the right person varies a lot. Sometimes it's quick and sometimes it takes months.

It depends on the skills needed. Compared to how we were doing it in the past, we have
saved time but it is difficult to give a number at that stage.

  8. Have you realized an ROI from using our platform yet? If so, could you give us a ballpark figure?

It is way too early to know. We are finding people faster and quicker. We are also
onboarding them much quicker now and if we can grow the freelancer base soon (to
thousands), the platform will become even more useful and save us more time and give
us more of a return on our investment.

  9. How would you describe TalentDesk in 3 words?

    • Intuitive
    • Excellent support
    • Easy to use

It basically does what it says it does.

  10. Who would you recommend TalentDesk.io to?

I would recommend TalentDesk to startups but also to bigger organizations. We have
looked at several solutions similar to TalentDesk but we thought TalentDesk was the best
one to do the job. The model fits a lot of types of organizations and is not limited to the
size of an organization or an industry. In the field of IT, we know that a lot of people
struggle with similar issues that TalentDesk was able to solve for us, which is why i'd also
    recommend it to them.

  11. Are your freelancers happy using TalentDesk.io?

Generally, all contractors are satisfied with the platform. One of our UX/UI designers gave
good feedback. He did, however, have one comment about finding contractors with
specific skills. He mentioned that the feature was not user friendly during the onboarding
process. He claimed that working on this feature would make the platform even more
powerful than it already is now.
